Trails Youth Initiatives is a charitable organization, and ministry-inspected private school, that provides year round outdoor experiential education to students from Toronto at our 143-acre site in Stouffville, Ontario. Our mission is to challenge and equip vulnerable youth from at-risk areas of Toronto to become contributing members of the community. For more information about the Trails program please visit our website www.Trails.ca
We are currently looking for facilitators/teachers to join our summer staff team working 10-12 day sessions, with opportunities to extend contracts throughout Fall, Winter and Spring to continue working with participant groups when they return to Trails on weekends during the school year.
Our participants commit to four years in the programme and are challenged to develop socially, emotionally, and mentally through outdoor adventure-based activities. Participants develop skills in communication, leadership, and teamwork, with a focus on well-being, personal growth, and nurturing the self. Over the course of their time at Trails, participants have the opportunity to obtain three secondary school credits, gain volunteer hours, and complete relevant certifications.
