Seasonal 2019 Logistics & Cinematography Coordinator – Algonquin Park

Job Description

This new position will support management in all aspects of operations and video production. Founded in 1996, Algonquin Adventure Tours specializes in providing Algonquin Provincial Park educational adventures and guide services to travellers from around the world. Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Adaptable, flexible and reliable
  • A sunny and outgoing personality
  • Strong work ethic (work is often outdoors, rain or shine)
  • Over 25 years old with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift/carry 75+ pounds
  • Must enjoy living in a rural setting
  • Canoe, cinematography and/or carpentry skills are an asset
  • Military experience or additional languages are an asset
  • Non tobacco smoker (smoke free work place and residence)

Duties:

  • Long vehicle (van and trailer) driving
  • Clean & repair gear
  • Farm and property maintenance
  • Trip packing, unpacking
  • Organize and prepare trip supplies
  • Cinematography & editing
  • Represent Algonquin Adventure Tours in a professional manner at all times (i.e. uniform, grooming & language)
  • Other duties as assigned (including assistant guiding)

Work Schedule:

  •  May 21 – Oct.13, 2018; Part time (May/June) & Full time (other months). Working hours vary and split shifts are common.

Compensation:

  • Hourly base + generous bonuses + ESA contributions (EI, vacation pay) – $10,000-$15,000/season
  • Awesome free accommodations at our farm in Dwight
