Ability to lift/carry 75+ pounds and portage/flip boats like a master.
Outdoors card, fishing permit, pleasure craft operators card, food handler certification & wilderness first responder (or be willing to obtain)
Paddling & camping gear/clothing for 3 seasons
Must enjoy living in a rural setting
NLS, military experience, additional languages and campfire music skills are a plus
Experience with children and/or a related school degree is a plus
Non tobacco smoker (smoke free work place and residence)
Protect AAT gear from abuse/accident
Guide day and multiday wilderness trips
Provide safe, educational and fun experiences
Set up, take down, clean, pack and maintain all equipment & buildings
Food preparation, service and cleaning
Represent Algonquin Adventure Tours in a professional manner at all times (i.e. uniform, grooming & language)
Driving company vans with canoe trailers
Other duties as assigned
May 11 – October 11, 2020; Student reduced season – May 11 – September 6, 2020; full time.
Daily base (hourly on rare days with no guiding) + generous bonuses + tips = $15,000-$20,000/full season/commensurate with experience and performance
