Jobtrekker.ca strives to eliminate the inefficiencies in Canada for outdoor jobs and adventure jobs recruiting by connecting experienced outdoor jobs and adventure jobs seekers with outdoor and adventure employers. We're powered by WorkCabin.ca, a professional and respected Canadian-owned brand in career niche recruiting.

Well, you'll be supporting a professional resource that's long overdue. Secondly, you'll reach your target audience: qualified applicants. We know the last thing you want is a Mt. Everest-sized stack of resumes containing many unqualified applicants who've seen your posting on general job sites (in fact, some of you have told us that very fact). We're not a job site that struggles with an identity crisis or struggles to have a focus about the jobs it attracts. We're Canada's Outdoor Adventure Job Site. Period. Job seekers looking for outdoor-related jobs explore our site because they know they'll find the opportunities they're looking for.

How do I post jobs on Jobtrekker.ca?
It's as easy as making bacon and eggs over a campfire. Click our POST NEW JOB button on the left side of our home page > Select your job category > Create your free account or fill in your login details if you're already registered > Fill in the details of your job ad > Save. Voila. You're done. If you want to revise your ad later, simply log in and make changes. You can log in and delete your ad at any time. Jobs remain active for 90 days, at which time you will receive an automatic reminder email -- our system will automatically delete your job if you choose not to keep it active.

How do I revise a job posting on Jobtrekker.ca
Log in at top of home page > then navigate to left menu > Click 'All Ads'. On the next screen that appears, look at clickable links above the main display of jobs. Click on the link that says 'My Ads'. Your ads will appear for easy editing, updating.

What are the costs of using Jobtrekker.ca?
Zilch. It's absolutely free. Yes, that means no hiking shoe strings attached.

How does Jobtrekker.ca make money?
It doesn't. Our backpacks shoulder the costs of running this professional, free online resource. And we're happy to do so because we genuinely believe in its need. We've designed an automated system that significantly reduces our labour and time (ie. costs) by putting the ability to post, revise and delete job postings into the hands of our registered employers. Our approach is more like an adventure co-op -- that means, essentially, our registered employers help run Jobtrekker.ca. That helps keep our operating costs low.  Yes, at some point in the future we will add revenue streams in order to sustain this resource, however, we're in no rush. Adding revenue streams means a whole bunch of gov't paperwork, GST, and quite frankly, we'd rather be out kayaking than pushing paper.

You're not making money? Are you guys suffering from high-altitude oxygen deprivation?
LOL. Hey, that's a good one! No. Until Jobtrekker.ca came along, finding adventure jobs was an adventure in itself in Canada. We want to change that for the better. Life is too short to miss great job opportunities for adventure.

Can I directly apply to jobs posted by employers to Jobtrekker.ca?
You bet. Outdoor and adventure job seekers may directly apply to any job posted to our marketplace for which they are qualified. Employers who have online application methods can choose this option in our database to automatically link job seekers from our site to the company's own application-submission system.
