& OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE

We are currently seeking instructors for our 2010 season. Outdoor education is a rewarding field that requires creative, inspiring individuals with an outdoor background that are keen to share their passion with others.

SEASON:
August 30- mid/late October

OUR PROGRAMS:
Outdoor Education weeks for students in Grades 8-12
Activities include instruction in: rock climbing, sea kayaking, whitewater canoe and kayaking, high ropes, canoe outripping, environmental education.
Our fall season is outrip based instruction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Wilderness First Aid (40hr); CPR Level C; willing to complete a Criminal Record check; legally able to work in Canada
Must be able to speak English. French is an asset.

PREFERENCE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH:
COLT or equivalent outdoor leadership training/diploma/degree,
Canoe Instructors Certification, 80hr Wilderness First Aid, Bronze Cross, NLS, Class 4 Drivers License, Sea Kayak Guide Certification, Swift water Rescue Technician, Outdoor education teaching experience, Extensive personal outdoor experience
