EVENT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Position: Event Operations Coordinator (Contract Position 6 – 9 month duration)
Answers to: Operations Manager

Since 1992 Canadian Outback Adventures has offered a unique suite of corporate team building events, professional facilitated training programs, special events and innovative outdoor adventures, all planned and executed with extraordinary attention to detail. As Canadian Outback representatives, our team of coordinators, hosts, guides, facilitators and office staff are charged with putting our service commitment into practice.
Responsibilities:
• Planning, logistics and implementation of Canadian Outback Events
• On site coordination, preparing and hosting of events
• Budgeting and expense management
• Liaison with suppliers and clients
• Supervise and evaluate staff
• Organization and maintenance of event equipment and supplies
The qualified applicant will possess:
• Ability to be an effective team member
• Exceptional communication skills and public speaking experience (mandatory)
• An out-going people oriented personality
• Extraordinary attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• Previous event/program planning experience
• Valid Class 5 drivers license
• Flexible lifestyle and schedule and the ability to travel for work
• Past supervisory or managerial experience
• Team building experience
• Computer skills in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher)
Start Date: training March 1st, 2010 with position starting by March 15th, 2010
