Assistant Environmental Technician
DUTIES:
– Collection of soil samples on agricultural fields for nutrient analysis
– Assist with landowner site visits for stewardship programs
– Data management
– Assist with preparation of maps utilizing ARCGIS
– Assist with the water quality monitoring program, as required
– Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
– Enrolled in or graduated from a post-secondary program; Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, or related science field preferred
– Able to work with minimal supervision
– Must be willing to work outdoors and in adverse environmental conditions
– Valid driver’s license within the Province of Ontario and eligible to work in Canada
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
– duration: 14 weeks
– start date: May 15, 2017
– hourly rate: $12.50/hour
– hours of work: 40 hours/week
